Alexa Christmas Update

Amazon Alexa, a cloud-based voice service received a thematic update that added several features geared to the Christmas period, from music, imitation of Santa Claus, and some curiosities.

According to Amazon, Alexa will celebrate and help customers get into the Christmas mood with an illustration of the date's origin, as well as tips on how to decorate a Christmas tree and recipes for Dinner.

Christmas songs won't be missing either. To get into the mood right now, you can ask: “Alexa, sing a Christmas song” to hear an original Christmas song, including the good old man himself in performance, letting out his voice.

Alexa can also play a Christmas Classics playlist. For that, just say: “Alexa, play the Christmas Classics playlist”. And on December 25th, the good old man will make a special appearance in the editorial “Alexa, good morning”.

You can even ask “Alexa, tell a Christmas joke” to hear themed jokes about the date. From December 15th to 25th, the assistant will countdown with a cameo by asking "Alexa, how many days are left until Christmas?"

The assistant can also read the letters written by JRR Tolkien, which just like in the book, Letters from Santa Claus from the HarperKids label by Harper Collins, are told in the voices of the main characters.

Just ask: "Alexa, a Christmas letter".
