Google Chrome now supports Android 12’s scrolling screenshots
The scrollable screenshot is one of the best features of Android 12, Google Chrome now allows it on Android, you will now be able to take a screenshot with scrolling to collect all the details of a website or page that you want.
As 9to5Google reported, the new scrolling screenshot button is available for Chrome on Android for devices running Android 12 or Android 12L and it can be accessed from the “Capture more” button at the bottom-left corner of the screenshot preview window.
How to capture scrolling screenshot in Chrome browser for Android 12
To take the scrolling screenshot, just follow this:
- Open the Google Chrome browser on your smartphone with the latest Android 12 or Android 12L.
- Go to the webpage that you want to capture through the scrolling screenshot feature.
- Now press the power button + volume down button combo.
- Capture a screenshot of the webpage and in the screenshot preview window, you will be able to spot a “Capture more” button next to share and edit options. Tap on it.
- Now you will be able to see a fullscreen viewer where you can select more (or less) of your current screen of the webpage that you want to capture.
- You'll now see a few options to edit, save, and share directly.
- Tap on Save.
As of now, this feature comes from the server side in Android 12, so don't even look for the update (although this is Chrome 96). In fact, only the Pixel 3a and Pixel 4a have it available.
