LG unveils its First Gaming Laptop

LG unveils its first gaming laptop, UltraGear 17G90Q, which features an, NVIDIA GeForceTM  RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics card, 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake H processor and an dual-channel memory. Additionally, the company has given an ultra-fast dual SSD setup and a 17-inch IPS panel with a one-millisecond response time and a 300Hz refresh rate.

LG is the one of most popular brand for its laptops dedicated to productivity, especially through its 
LG gram 17" Ultra-Lightweight Laptop. We do not necessarily think of the brand when it comes to models for gaming. Today, the company unveils “The First Portable Gaming Laptop”, with a very high end top-of-the-range specifications. The 17-inch LG UltraGear 17G90Q features an Intel Tiger Lake H processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics card , up to 32 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.

This LG UltraGear 17G90Q has an 1080p 300 Hz IPS panel and should offer quite an interesting battery life for video games with its 93 Wh battery. UltraGear 17G90Q comes with 4 USB Gen 3 × 2 (Type C) ports with Thunderbolt 4, another USB-C 3.2 2 × 1, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 × 1, one HDMI port, one microSD port, one jack and one RJ45 port. This Gaming Laptop has also incorporates a fingerprint sensor in its power button as well as a 1080p webcam.

Regarding with its external appearance, the LG UltraGear 17G90Q built with an aluminum chassis giving pride of place to gray and purple, for 21.4 mm thickness - which is thin enough for a 17-inch gaming laptop - and 2.64 kg on the scale - quite light, but below what the 17-inch MSI GS76 Stealth offers, 2.45 kg with a larger battery capacity.
The new and slim laptop packs a massive battery of 93Wh battery while maintaining a thickness of under 21.4 millimeters and a weight of fewer than 2.7 kilograms. The laptop is also equipped with LG’s gaming software, LG UltraGear Studio, with the help of which users can customize gaming-related options and will be able to track performance data.

It also offers three-dimensional sound with its built-in 2 Way speaker system. The speakers support DTS:X Ultra. In addition, the 17G90Q comes with Intel Killer Wireless technology which helps in the lag-free gaming experience.

LG hasn't released official pricing for the beast, but this high-end gaming laptop could be a good option for those who loves the LG brand and its understated style. 
The LG UltraGear 17G90Q is expected to arrive in the United States and South Korea in early 2022. LG will reveal more details during CES 2022 which opens on January 4, 2022.
