Nvidia GeForce - 4K streaming on Windows PC and macOS

Windows PC and Mac users will finally be able to enjoy 4K gaming on the Nvidia GeForce Now cloud gaming service. Nvidia announced in a blog post that now finally brings one of its most-wanted features to PC and Mac gamers to Stream in 4K resolution for Windows PC and Mac. In addition, Nvidia’s expanding the support of 4K streaming for mobile gamers with support for more 120Hz devices capable of streaming at 120 FPS with RTX 3080 memberships. Newly supported devices include the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3, and OnePlus 9 Pro., and the Games include new releases ‘Star Wars Battlefront II,’ ‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ and ‘Star Wars: Squadrons,’ and it is now available to stream on GeForce NOW.

A few years after its official launch, GeForce Now, Nvidia's cloud gaming service will finally step up a gear in terms of quality. From today, the platform will finally support 4K streaming on Windows, but also macOS, whereas it was urgent to go through an Nvidia Shield TV until now.

How to stream in 4K on Windows PC and macOS

To Stream 4K games on your Windows PC, macOS, or High-end smartphones for more than 120Hz devices;
You will simply have to start by updating your GeForce Now application. You should be able to opt for the display in 4K, all at 60 frames per second. Note that this 4K gaming option will not be available to users who go through their web browser; the dedicated application will be the only gateway to play with the best image quality.

Nvidia also noted that;

GeForce NOW is always upgrading. As of today, RTX 3080 members playing from the PC and Mac native apps can stream at 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.

4K streaming gets a boost by NVIDIA DLSS, a groundbreaking AI rendering technology that increases graphics performance using dedicated Tensor Core AI processors on RTX GPUs. DLSS taps into the power of a deep learning neural network to boost frame rates and generate beautiful, sharp images for games.

RTX 3080 members enjoy the benefits of ultra-low latency that rivals native console gaming. They can also enable customized in-game graphics settings like RTX ON, taking games to a cinematic level, and experiencing the maximized eight-hour play sessions.

On top of this, GeForce NOW is leveling up mobile gamers with support for more 120Hz devices capable of streaming at 120 FPS with RTX 3080 memberships. Newly supported devices include the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3, and OnePlus 9 Pro.
